Hyksos Influences on New Kingdom Pottery
David. A. Aston

The intact New Kingdom burial found on or near the mastaba 3507 at Saqqara has been dated to the reign of Amenophis I, and as such, this tomb group has been used as a yardstick for defining ceramic assemblages of the early Eighteenth Dynasty. There is, however, no independant dating evidence for this group, and following a review of the material, a somewhat later date for this group will be suggested.
