Early and Middle Bronze Age Stratigraphy and Pottery from Aegina Kolonna
Walter Gauß /Rudolfine Smetana

The excavations in the so called prehistoric inner city of Aegina Kolonna provided important evidence for the stratigraphic and ceramic sequence of the Early and Middle Bronze Age.
Particularly important is a series of floor horizons and fill layers from area 19, which produced rich finds of pottery. Comparsions show that the finds should be dated to an advanced and late phase of the Early Bronze Age III and the beginning of the Middle Bronze Age.
This is an extremely important result, as in the past the transition from Early to Middle Bronze Age at Aegina Kolonna was not well defined.
